On September 9, 2025, at approximately 7:15 p.m., Washoe County Sheriff’s Office deputies conducted a traffic stop in the area of South Virginia Street and Towne Drive in Reno. During the stop, deputies identified the driver as 19-year-old Juan Acosta, who was found to have an active felony fugitive warrant issued out of Monterey County, California.
